GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Applications must be received no later than two weeks prior to the event. Applications received race week will not be accepted.
  • No one under the age of 18 will be issued a credential.
  • Applications must be accompanied by an assignment letter from an accredited publication or media outlet. Media credentials will not be offered to freelance journalists or photographers who are not on assignment. Pre-event articles or feature stories are strongly recommended to assist in publicizing the event. Marketing and advertising representatives from approved publications, teams and sponsors will be credentialed only if on editorial assignment.
  • Media credentials are approved on a case-by-case basis. MX Sports Pro Racing (MXS) has the right to approve or deny media access at any time, for any or no reason, and has complete discretion on credential issuance. Credentials may be revoked for any reason, including inappropriate behavior or for not adhering to event rules.
  • Pre- and post-race press releases and race results are disseminated on a regular basis to media outlets and publications. Please contact the MXS Media Manager if you wish to be added to the distribution list.
  • Media members must observe all event guidelines and regulations. If unsure, please seek information from the Media Coordinator or on-site security personnel. Do not begin work as a media member unless you understand the event rules and regulations.
  • Any defaced or fraudulent credential will be confiscated; no stickers, pictures or other tampering permitted.
  • Media members will be required to dress appropriately. Shirts must be worn at all times; sandals are not allowed. Media members inappropriately dressed may be required to remedy the situation or face credential revocation.

PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEO REGULATIONS & GUIDELINES

  • PRESS Credential Access: Thor Media Center, Paddock, and general spectator areas. No infield access.
  • PHOTO Credential Access: Track infield, Thor Media Center, Paddock and general spectator areas. Photographers will be required to wear an official Photo Vest and must keep a safe distance from the race course, or relocate as instructed by track officials.
  • PHOTO Vests: Vests will be issued at Media Will Call.  Photo identification and credit card are required.  Photo Vests must be returned to the Thor Media Center no later than one hour following the post-race press conference.  If it is necessary to return a vest earlier, arrangements can be made with the Media Manager or Media Will Call Correspondent.  Failure to return a vest will result in a $100 charge to the holder's credit card.
  • PHOTOGRAPHS: All photos taken are the property of MXS. Websites may upload still images from any Event; however, these images may not be used for any commercial or retail purposes without the express written consent of MXS and the athlete(s) depicted. Images may only remain on the site for 7 days, unless otherwise approved by MXS.
  • VIDEO: Video recording of any kind is prohibited at all times, including timed qualifying and racing, of any class at any event on the racetrack or anywhere within the grounds, without prior written approval of MXS. Any media member caught with a video camera without approval will forfeit their credential and the videotape will be confiscated.
  • TRACK ACCESS: Media members with track access are prohibited from signaling or cheering from the infield, standing in or on the edge of the racetrack, or otherwise interfering with the race.
  • START LINE ACCESS: Media members with track access are restricted from the area in front of the Start Gate once the Moto Board is displayed.

ON-SITE MEDIA INFORMATION

  • MEDIA WILL CALL: Located in the Rider Services Center near the main entrance at each event.

Hours:
Friday: 9 am to 5 pm

Saturday: 7 am to 2 pm

  • THOR MEDIA CENTER: Open to all credentialed media. Services include the following: working internet connection; pre-entry lists and post-race results; live timing and scoring monitor; live television feed; complimentary beverages and lunch on Saturday.
  • POST-RACE PRESS CONFERENCE: Features the top three overall finishers in each class; conducted immediately following racing in the Thor Media Center. Additional competitors will be encouraged to attend for the opportunity to meet the media.
