Rockstar-Backed Rider Goes Back-to-Back with Fast Laps

MORGANTOWN, W.V. (July 2, 2010) - While he continues to assert himself as the top contender for the 450 Class championship with four consecutive victories, Rockstar/Makita Suzuki's Ryan Dungey is also doing the same with the Rockstar Energy Fast Lap competition. At last weekend's Toyota Trucks Thunder Valley National, round five of the 2010 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship, Dungey posted the fastest lap of the final 450 Class moto to capture his third bonus point of the season.

As the high altitude Thunder Valley track became increasingly rough throughout the day, Dungey found a way to overcome the ever-changing landscape to post a time of 2:11.857 on the fourth lap of competition. Coincidentally, it was the same lap he made the winning pass on Honda Red Bull Racing rider and Colorado native Andrew Short.

Dungey's first acquisition of a Rockstar Energy Fast Lap bonus point came at the second round of the season at Freestone. Two weekends ago, he posted the fastest lap at Budds Creek and has now garnered back-to-back bonus points to take a two point advantage over Short and Jagermeister KTM's Mike Alessi in the standings.

See how Dungey made it happen by watching the exclusive Rockstar Energy Fast Lap video only at AlliSports.com.

Weekly Rockstar Energy Fastest Lap results can be found every Monday following a round on Rockstar69.com, RockstarMX.com, RacerXOnline.com, AlliSports.com, and RockwellTime.com. Fans can also stay up to date by following @Rockstar6969 on Twitter.
